The Studio Collaborative
2018-19 Season Submission Info:
The Collaborative is a curated season produced by local outside theatre companies and producing organizations in the Studio Theater. The Collaborative Season runs between December and April of each year when the space is otherwise dark. Each chosen Company/Artist will be given the space and use of our technical equipment (sound, lights) to produce their own show. The Long Beach Playhouse does not produce the show; all needs i.e. technical, construction, support staff, marketing etc., will be the sole responsibility of the Producing Company. The Playhouse and the visiting Company/Artist will split the ticket sales. A small rental fee in the form of a $150 guarantee per performance to either be paid up front or from your gross ticket sales is in place and non-negotiable to cover Playhouse staff and utility costs.
The Collaborative will be booked on a curated basis. All submissions will be considered by the Artistic Director and given an equal chance at a slot in the season. Please be absolutely honest about your plans and expectations as the Artistic Director will be considering inclusion from this information alone. Previous experience fully producing your own shows is a plus. Only local (Southern Californian) organizations will be considered.

SUBMISSIONS are now being accepted from August 1st – Aug. 31st, 2018 for the 2018-19 Studio Collaborative Season.
Individuals and companies will be notified at the end of September if they have been accepted or not, or as soon as the season has been chosen.
