With 16 plays a year and our Special Programs, there is always something happening in our Mainstage and Studio Theatres. Nearly 1,000 exceptional productions have been mounted in the Playhouse’s two theatres – the elegant 200-seat, three-quarter thrust Mainstage and 98-seat proscenium Studio Theatre. Over 30,000 people enjoy its productions annually. A new production opens at the Long Beach Playhouse every three weeks, a production schedule unmatched in the region. Collaborative efforts with other theatre troupes & art organizations is also important to the Long Beach Playhouse. Please see the special events link below for our most current collaborations.
